Possible gift of bells from All Hallows, Lombard Street, 1940-1941
Correspondence from various people including the Provost, the Bishops of Guildford and London, the Diocesan Guild of Ringers and Edward Maufe concerning the possible gift of a peal of bells originally from All Hallows, Lombard Street, London, and then in storage at the foundry of their maker MessrsĀ Mears and Stainbank. However as it was not possible to exclude the possibility of re-casting the bells in future,, the offer was regretfully refused.
