Two verges and mace
The two verges of lenticular shape, each featuring the dove descending to the center, the border inscribed THE CATHEDRAL CHURCH OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN GUILDFORD; one topped with a crowned mitre, the other a cross, and connected to the tapering shaft by a dome and ribbed collar, the shaft engraved with the symbol of tongues of flame multiple times; one bears an engraved inscription to the base of the shaft, the other an engraved cross.
The mace is topped by a mitre finial and is engraved with the coat of arms of the Diocese of Guildford above an inscription, there is a ribbed and stepped collar at the top of the shaft above engravings of tongues of flame, a stepped collar leads to a tapering shaft with an engraved inscription around the base and a ribbed collar beneath.
