Brick Appeal cartoon 'Why Unfinished?'

Leaflet dated 2001 describing the Fundraising campaign ‘Why Unfinished?’ which began in 1954 and aimed to promote the selling of bricks at 2/6d each. A cartoon by the artist E H Sheppard titled ‘Why Unfinished’ featuring workmen asking ‘Where are the bricks?’ led the campaign. Brick Books were produced containing 40 tokens at 2/6d per brick. Over £%0,000 was raised by the campaign.
