Mark Master Masons - Gift of a Ciborium

Also mentioning the Dean will be arranging for the Mark Masons to formally present the Ciborium to the Cathedral. Bearing handwritten note referring to a letter from Sir Edward Maufe dated 12th June.
Carbon copy of typed letter to E. D. Jenkins, Esq, 8th June, 1962 informing Mr Jenkins that the writer has taken over from Miss Iredale. Referring to her letter to him of 28th May. The Ciborium made by Dunstan Pruden, silversmith has been placed in the Sacristy. Asking for settlement of the £122 account from the silversmith. Mention that Sir Edward Maufe will not be submitting an account. Referring to details which Mr Jenkins was to supply to Sir Edward for the West Windows mentioned in the letter of 28th May.
Handwritten note from Leslie Durbin M.V.O. of 62, Rochester Place, London NW1, to Miss Iredale, dated 6th June, 1962. Discussing a design commission by Sir Edward Maufe for an Alms Dish which was now not required and asking for a fee.
Typed note from Leslie Durbin to Miss Iredale, O.B.E., dated 30th May, 1962 referring to the design for the Alms Dish. Bearing handwritten note confirming that the matter had been referred to Sir Edward Maufe who confirmed that the Mark Masons had chosen a Ciborium not an Alms Dish.

Referring to the account from Dunstan Pruden the silversmith for £120 plus £2 for the inscription. Mentioning delivery of the Ciborium to the Cathedral, Mr Taft or Mr White the following day.
