Cathedral Minutes, June 1942
The subject considered was the education of Cathedral choirboys. The Provost explained that originally the facilities were given at Abbots School, after this school was closed, similar facilities were offered at Clarks College but a purely commercial education was given and this did not meet the need. The Provost outlined a scheme which would give suitable boys the chance to be educated at the Grammar School. The Chapter gave their general approval of this scheme.
