Minutes of the Executive Committee of the Guildford New Cathedral Fund held in November 1957
The building work so far and how to finance future building work were the main topics discussed.
Mr. Powell, the chairman expressed thanks to Miss Iredale for all her work. He realised that Miss Iredale was feeling the strain of six years’ work for the Cathedral but he was convinced that if she left at this stage there would be little hope of finishing the nave in 1959. The committee expressed their agreement and asked for this fact to be recorded in the minutes.
