Minutes of the Executive Committee of the Guildford New Cathedral Fund, October 1960
Lord Hamilton expressed the warm appreciation of the Committee for the long and generous services rendered by Mr Lawrence Powell as Chairman of the Executive Committee.
Miss Iredale stressed the need to recognise the importance of the financial commitments after the Consecration.
The sub-committee had met on August 17th. The architect was authorised to negotiate with Messers. H. Ashenden Ltd om the construction of the clergy houses. The construction was to start on the 29th of August.
Terms of Agreement for the period of May 1961- December 1963 between the Guildford New Cathedral Fund Council and the Dean and Chapter of the Cathedral were accepted.
