Watercolour painted design for the stained glass window competition for the Nurses’ Window.
Design depicts a nurse wearing a blue and white uniform with a face mask on tending a patient in a bed with bandages around their head. Behind the two figures is a window with a hand holding a lamp in the centre of the window. Surrounding the window at the top are images depicting a nurse tending a patient with a mill in the background (left) and a medic tending an injured soldier on the battlefield (left)
On the reverse is a sticker with the writing: ‘Nursing Mirror. Stained Glass Window Design Competition. Competition Coupon.’ Also has the handwritten name and address of entrant. Mr K. Golunkski, R.M.N. (Charge Nurse)
