Committee Meeting of Broderers Guild November 1963
A more conspicuous notice in the Cathedral had resulted in further offers of help. Four big kneelers to fit the oak frames were finished and in use. Twenty eight Lady Chapel kneelers were started and eleven were finished.
It was proposed to record all gifts to the Cathedral in a Gift Book, as all kneelers had been given by the Broderers Guild and their supporters it was suggested that all their names should be included. Mrs Leach was compiling the Gift Book.
Lady Maufe showed the designs for the back and seat cushions for the Bishop’s Chair in the Lady Chapel.
It was reported that twelve more kerchiefs and six more surplices (size 38) were needed. Mrs Wilson said she and her workers would undertake these. The Dean believed that the Chapter would provide the cost for the linen.
