Committee Meeting of the Broderers Guild, April 1959
Mrs Wilson reported that the work went on slowly as she had so few workers capable of very fine work. It was suggested that she would write to the Convent at St. John the Baptist at Clewers and ask them to quote a price for hand-working surplices and this was agreed.
Lady Maufe was looking to the possibility of moving furniture from the Great Hall at Farnham Castle and marked in the infantry as belonging to the Broderers to the Crypt at Guildford Cathedral.
There were now four people at work on the Frontal for the Children’s Chapel.
