Committee Meeting of the Broderers Guild June 1955
Lady Maufe was appointed as Vice President and for Vice Chairman and in the absent of the Provost, took the chair.
It was reported that meetings were being held on Thursday mornings at Diocesan House and an average number of eight workers attended each class. Many people have started a second kneeler and enthusiasm generally was very keen. Sixteen new members had been enrolled since March 3rd 1955. It was suggested that a notice at the New Cathedral should make it clear that more than one visit to classes is necessary for inexperienced workers. Lady Maufe was asked to design some more kneelers including one for Mothers Union and one for Boy Scouts.
An extra note was added to state that, it was agreed that an annual meeting was now insufficient and that future meetings should be held at least every three months.
