Proposal from Canon Chapmen of the Diocesan Religious Education Department to install suitable Library shelving in the former Chapter Room to accommodate the theological library of books then in storage in the Tower. Also to install some shelves in the Ringing Chamber. Funding for this work had been received from Messrs Shell. Th 6 August 1964
Sir Edward Maufe agreed to supply detailed drawings of the Chapter Room to assist in the planning of the.shelves and cupboards.
The estimate provided by Messrs Hammer & Co for library furniture was accepted in February 1965
