Transcribed etracts from the minutes of various meetings of the Diocesan Council and the Executive Committee concerning the decision that the Mother’s Union share in the new Cathedral should be the High Altar and Hangings. The cost was estimated at £250 – £500 . By January 1940 the High Altar Fund had reached £465.111s.01d.. A cheque for £772 was presented to the Bishop in 1949.
