April 16th 1930 Minutes: A list of all present and those who sent apologies. Mr Tapper explained the procedure adopted by the Liverpool authorities in selecting an Architect, probably six to nine months would be required after the notice of competition before the plans could be received. It will be advisable to begin by building the Chancel and Choir.

December 5th 1930 Minutes: A list of all present and those who sent apologies. 183 Architects submitted plans and drawings in the preliminary competition. The names of the Architects were concealed and Mr Tapper excluded all but 33. It was decided the Architects names should remain concealed both from the assessor (Mr Tapper) and from the Committee. It was then decided that the sub-committee be appointed to act with Mr Tapper to choose 10 (not exceeding 12) from the 33 Architects. It was resolved that the 5 final selected Architects should return mini plans for the final competition.
