Progress on the West End
Black and white photo of the west end of the Cathedral being built, with scaffolding across the face of it. A local craftman is using a wheel barrow as he carries off stone to be used for a segment of the wall, and at this point the roof is still not finished. On the back a message states “Cathedral work carries on. No hold up for material. Work on Guildford’s new Cathedral started 4 years ago, and interrupted by the war, is to go forward. permission has been given by the authorities for the supply of the necessary material to continue building up to and includign the roof.
