Minutes of the Eighth Annual General Meeting of Guildford New Cathedral Council, March 1962
Miss Iredale was to resign on the 31st May 1962. Mr Powell said we had seen in the work which Miss Iredale had done over the last ten years; a courage, a perseverance and an achievement which was quite astonishing and he moved that a very sincere gratitude and admiration of the Council to be recorded.
Miss Iredale reported that it was hoped that the Tower would be completed in September, the Sacristy in April. Work on the Lady Chapel had started but not on the Garth’s. Furnishings for the Sacristy were still needed.
In the Refectory a successor to Miss Dolphin had been found – Mrs Woolfitt – but she would not take up her appointment until the 1st May 1962.
